Our Role
The Local Partnerships Public Services (LP PS) team works across all of the public sector, contributing to a thriving UK public services industry.
We aim to be at the forefront of market creation and market shaping activity in public services by:
- Equipping commissioners with the right capabilities so that they can be active in putting in place all of the pieces to have a well-functioning market;
- Working with state enterprises to enable them to become vibrant, long-term suppliers, whether they remain in the public sector or transition into other sectors such as social enterprise; and
- Creating and investing our capital at risk in delivery vehicles.
We promote shared learning across Government and public bodies to help address the many challenges that, despite arising in different areas, are common to many.
